Job Description:

We are a leading proprietary trading firm proudly headquartered in downtown Chicago, with a satellite office in Boulder, Colorado. Our teams work hard to provide liquidity to the market through their market-making activities by combining their deep expertise of commodities, interest rates, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and equity index options with a cutting edge technological system. Our trading models and software systems are continually developed, optimized, and upgraded in order to stay competitive in an ever changing market. We work closely with our technology team to continuously and iteratively improve our proprietary solutions.

Our quantitative team, working with both tech and trading, are charged with developing scalable algorithms and translating trading models into our extensible systems. We are looking for highly skilled and experienced individuals to join this research initiative building models that upscale the future of our technology platform.

The ideal candidate has direct experience in the quantitative research process and understands the workflow from idea generation to implementation. This position is accountable for making a significant impact on the direction and productivity of a high impact team with direct exposure to firm leadership.

What You'll Do
- Replay and improve existing trading strategies using data and algos to drive the trading decisions
- Build a low latency trading system from ground up
- Innovate on quant concepts and ideas
- Research and generate model development
- Apply Machine learning techniques and conduct data analysis
- Contribute to in-house data analysis packages and research framework development
- Spread great ideas to the larger Quant Team
- Conduct financial data analysis on large datasets to generate profitable trading strategies.

What You'll Need
- PHD or Masters level degree required
- 1+ year(s) applicable professional experience in quantitative fields such as analyzing large statistical data sets, or machine learning, AI
- Coding skills in Python
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Willing to take on and solve problems no one else has solved
- Demonstrated experience analyzing statistical data set
- Works effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
- Self-starter who can get things done with minimal direction
