Job Description:

The EHS Specialist is responsible for directly supporting the Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions (VWTS) Analytical Instruments (AI) product line business unit. Responsibilities for this role include all aspects of the environmental, health, and safety for the manufacturing operations at Boulder, CO, as well as our field and remote employees. There will also be collaboration and lending of assistance when needed to the local EHS organizations in the countries our Analytical Instruments are manufactured in (Hungary, China, India, etc.) to ensure we are providing a safe work environment for our employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and foster the safety culture as well as the safety and environmental compliance through assisting in implementing and improving site-specific EHS programs and processes, including emergency preparedness and fire protection, safety assessments, and safe working procedures, hazardous waste management, SDS, ergonomics, contractor safety, and crisis management.
  • Ensure conformance with all applicable federal, state, local, and corporate environmental, health and safety laws, regulations, policies and guidelines, as well as maintaining appropriate documentation (permits, reporting, etc.).
  • Ensure all employee and contractor training is completed, documented, and maintained.
  • Assign and monitor EHS activities, corrective action plans and tasks to completion and update as needed; maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Monitor EHS trends to drive reduced risk.
  • Oversee our OSHA Voluntary Protection Program as well as hosting audits.

      Core Qualifications
      Required:
      • High School Diploma or GED
        Preferred:
        • Prior environmental and/or safety related work experience in a manufacturing environment
        • Further education and/or training in an Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or Environmental Science program
        • Knowledge of material flow and manufacturing operations
        • Experience implementing EHS programs and achieving measurable goals
          Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

            • Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $90,000 - $105,000 annually
