Job Description:
Registered Nurse - 2W PCU Per Diem, Nights.# Pay Range is
between $44.43-$62.65/hr, depending on years of relevant and like
experience. Range includes per diem and night differential. Boulder

Functions as a direct patient caregiver within the unit care
delivery system.# Integrates nursing theories in patient care. JOB
QUALIFICATIONS Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration,
etc.) Colorado RN license in good standing BLS required by end of
conditional period.# Employees hired prior to 3/6/15 must have
current BLS by 12/31/15. ACLS certification required within 6
months of hire Knowledge, Skill and Ability Demonstrated physical
and mental ability to apply nursing theories, procedures and
standards to clinical practice Experience One to two years RN
clinical nursing experience preferred. Six months to one year
Telemetry/Critical Care experience preferred. SUPERVISORY DUTIES
Licenced Practical Nurse, Patient Care Assistance ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES Clinical Patient Care Provides direct total
patient care for specific group of patients with collaboration as
needed. Demonstrates clinical competence in performing nursing
procedures and identifies the rationale underlying the nursing
skills. Identifies patient care problems, makes interventions based
upon an understanding of the biopsychosocial processes. Assesses
patient status systematically and anticipates and responds to
changes in patient clinical condition. Actively seeks participation
of the patient, family, and other members of the health care team
to assure continuity of patient care. Communicates clearly in all
aspects of documentation. May be required to perform point of care
testing.# May be a point of care trainer. It is the expectation
that all care providers document accurately and in real time,
utilizing the electronic medical record within their department.
Patient Education Collaborates with interdisciplinary patient care
team to identify patient learning needs, develops and implements an
individualized teaching plan. Management and Decision-Making
Utilizes effective time management skills in planning and providing
patient care. Provides constructive input to problem-solving.
Professional Growth Identifies own learning needs and expands
knowledge base through clinical Practice and self-directed
learning. Participates in peer review process as requested.
Professional Contributions Participates in achieving the goals of
the unit, division, and hospital. Utilizes and shares knowledge
obtained from workshops and literature with health care team on an
individual or group basis. Functions as preceptor for students
and/or orients with direction. Supports and demonstrates customer
service commitment to internal and external customers through
adherence to BCH customer service standards and processes About
