Registered Nurse (Radiation Oncology) Overview Rocky Mountain
Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider
of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for a FT RN to support
our radiation oncology team in Boulder. We realize that it sounds

love to have you join our team. Under general supervision, provides
professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and
company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.
Demonstrates knowledge of physiological, psychological, and
developmental and age specific differences in the patient
population including late adolescence, adulthood, middle age, and
the elderly. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to
provide for assessment and therapeutic management of patient/family
needs. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program,
to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Salary Range:
$34.00-$42.00 Pay is based on several factors including but not
limited to education, work experience, certification, etc. As of
the date of this posting, in addition to your salary, RMCC offer

illness and accident insurance. Responsibilities Perform baseline
assessments on new radiation oncology and follow-up patients which
includes reviewing patient's medical records for baseline data and
comparing with assessment data. Perform weekly and PRN assessment
throughout course of treatment to include assessing patients for
side effect of radiation and reporting changes in patient status to
physician. Perform post-procedure assessment by responding to
patient calls after completion of treatment. Implements plan of
care in accordance with established standards, guidelines,
protocols, and procedures based on actual and potential problems.
Perform ongoing evaluation of effectiveness of nursing intervention
and initiate appropriate changes. Complete admission assessment
from on patients scheduled for radiation therapy. Coordinate and
participate in immediate effective management of emergencies.
Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, visitors,
and staff including following through on patient information
regarding allergies and pregnancy and adhering to all department
safety/OSHA policies. Evaluate and assesses patient education and
learning needs and provides information to patients/significant
others based on these needs. Function as a patient advocate,
respecting patients bill of rights through 1) confidentiality, 2)
Right to be informed, 3) Right to privacy (physical and
psychological) and advance directives. Acts as liaison between
Nursing, Radiation Therapy and Business Office personnel to provide
optimal interdisciplinary patient care and maintain effective
relationship between services. Work Environment: The work

vision and hearing to normal range. Qualifications Graduate from an
accredited program for professional nursing education Minimum two
years nursing experience required, oncology experience preferred.
