Registered Nurse - ICU Full Time, nights. 36 hours/week. $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Available! not available for current BCH staff or rehires. Pay Range is between $41.26-$57.89/hr, depending on years of relevant and like experience.# Range includes night differential.# #+$2.50/hr for weekend shifts.# Boulder Community Health is a Certified Level II Trauma Center. POSITION SUMMARY Provides patient care, identifying and implementing nursing interventions and evaluating outcomes.# This person is responsible for behaviors and functions outlined in essential duties, personal competency and involvement in quality improvement.# Care is provided to ages 13 and up.# JOB QUALIFICATIONS Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration, etc.) Colorado RN license in good standing BLS required by end of conditional period.# ACLS certification required before conditional period ends.# Suspension will occur if certification lapses. certification required within 6 months of hire. Knowledge, Skill and Ability Demonstrated physical and mental health to apply nursing theories, procedures and standards to clinical practice. Cardiac monitor interpretation Experience One-year telemetry or critical care experience preferred ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinates and provides nursing care for critically ill or injured patients ages 13 through the lifespan with respect to diversity.# In life threatening emergent situations, will provide care for critically injured children with support from physicians, pediatricians, and pediatric nurses until transfer can be done safely.# Employees must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development and the knowledge and skills necessary to provide for the primary population of patients served in the department.# Employees demonstrate the ability to alter care and patient/family education based on the age or developmental level of the patient. Competency in rhythm recognition, ACLS guidelines, hemodynamics, and basic principles of critical care nursing. Assesses patient status systematically, demonstrates critical thinking by anticipating and responding to changes in clinical condition.# Works together as a team to meet patient individual plan. Demonstrates an understanding of patient education tools, assesses learning ability and needs then develops an education plan to meet patient and family deficits. Committed to support patient safety and quality initiatives, ongoing transitions in standards of care as evidence based practice and research mandate change, and adhere to hospital standards for care. Reports missed communication, documentation, care or any pertinent information to co-workers in a non-punitive way in order to reduce system and future care issues as well as to improve practice. Nurses shall recognize their own learning needs and those of peers and assist in meeting those needs to maximize professional development and optimal critical care nursing practice. ICU nurses shall be competent and current, adhering to established unit standards of practice.
