Clinic Registered Nurse RN - Family Medical Association Full
Time, Days. 40 hours/week. Pay Range is between $29.48-$44.21/hr,
depending on years of relevant and like experience. Boulder

examination and treatment of patients under the direction of
physicians. Boulder Community Hospital (BCH) Primary Care Physician
Clinics are guided by the philosophy of the Patient-Centered
Medical Home. The medical home organizes care around patients,
while engaging a multidisciplinary Care Team working proactively to
coordinate and track care for each individual patient.# JOB
QUALIFICATIONS Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration,
etc.) Colorado RN license in good standing. BLS certification
required by the end of conditional period. Knowledge, Skill and
Ability Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to
give and evaluate patient care. Knowledge of human growth and
development to inform and guide interaction with and care for
patients ages newborn to geriatric. Knowledge of organizational
policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care.
Knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer
patient care. Knowledge of CLIA, OSHA, Joint Commission and
Corporate Compliance regulations. Knowledge of common safety
hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Skill
in using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and
evaluate interaction with care for patients, newborn to geriatric.
Skill in maintaining the principles and applying and modifying
methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide on-going
care to call patients. Skill in identifying problems and
recommending solutions. Skill in taking vital signs Skill in
administering and assisting with a variety of treatments and
medications as directed. Skill in maintaining patient records by
careful documentation and recording test results. Skill in
developing and maintaining department quality improvement. Skill in
working effectively with patients and their representatives,
managers, staff, physicians, other hospital departments, outside
agencies and the public. Skill in maintaining patient records by

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs general nursing and
administrative duties including assuming a clinical leadership role
where required by providers, managers or the situation. Prepares
patients for examination and treatment.# Takes patient histories,
vital signs and thoroughly documents in patient chart. Prepares
exam and treatment rooms in orderly manner with necessary
instruments and supplies. Performs venipunctures and finger stick
phlebotomy, throat cultures, urinalysis, EKG, and other laboratory
procedures as directed. Administers immunizations and other
injections (including IM, SQ, and intradermal), as well as oral
medications as directed. Starts IV and administers IV fluids and
medications as directed. Phones in patient prescriptions and
documents accordingly in patient chart. Provides patient education
and instruction. Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for
treatments, including sterilization. Assists physicians in
preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.# Can describe and
