you! -About the Role:The Prize Challenge and Grants Lead is a
critical role that will be responsible for managing the execution
of funding opportunities to support the CHIPS metrology program.
This individual will be responsible for providing support to a team
of prize challenge managers and supporting the administration of
government funding through grant applications to support
semiconductor research and development (R&D) activities.Key
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Develop and execute management strategies to administer grant,
cooperative agreement, prize challenge, and other funding mechanism
programs used by NIST to support R&D and innovation in the
CHIPS metrology program -
- Develop marketing campaigns to promote funding opportunities
and share application openings with wide audiences -
- Facilitate collaborations between CHIPS metrology program teams
and external partners to accelerate the development and adoption of
new technologies and methodologies
- Quickly establish, develop, and foster positive rapport with
federal government clients, key stakeholders, partners, and
collaborators in a professional, creative environment
- Support the drafting and development of Notice of Funding
Opportunities (NOFOs) related to the CHIPS metrology program
- Coordinate and manage the review of - grant applications by
providing training to reviewers, documenting decision-making, and
preparing selection packages to determine funding allocation
- Support Federal Program Officers (FPOs) in their role of
monitoring - and reporting on the progress of grant-funded
projects, ensuring that deliverables are completed on time and
within budget
- Collaborate with the CHIPS metrology program team to develop
and implement R&D plans and ensure alignment with program
goals
- Develop and implement metrics to track and measure the success
of the prize challenge and grant programs
- Represent the CHIPS metrology program at industry events and
conferences to identify potential partners and collaborators
- Manage and identify efficiencies or tools to improve
existing/new organizational processes
- Evolve into a subject matter expert and master the required
skills -

client site in Boulder, CO. -Required Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field, such as
engineering, physics, or business administration
- 6+ years of experience in open innovation, grants management,
or technology commercialization
- Proven track record of building and managing successful
partnerships and collaborations
- Demonstrated ability to write successful grant applications and
secure funding from government agencies and private
foundations
- Strong project management and financial management skills, with
the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet
deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of
stakeholders
- At least 2 years of experience managing people, including
career planning, providing feedback, and performance reviews
- Strong understanding of the regulations and policies governing
funding mechanisms to ensure compliance and successful
outcomes
- Direct experience working on a daily (face-to-face) basis to
advise senior-level clients
- Creative thinker with the ability to translate complex
information into manageable pieces
- Receptive to all forms of feedback from clients and colleagues,
and proactive to make changes
- Demonstrates an unflappable attitude even when faced with
changes or adversity
- US citizenship or permanent resident with the ability to pass a
government public-trust clearance or suitabilityPreferred Skills:
- Knowledge of the semiconductor industry and/or metrology
