If you are interested in a career in Production Planning or Master Scheduling and don't know where to start, an Expediter role at Emerson is an exciting place to begin your career. Based in our Boulder, CO facility, this is an entry level position working in a manufacturing environment with the Planning and Scheduling team. You will gain experiences by working closely with the Planners and Master Schedulers in assisting them with expedite request and other daily tasks that will help you continue your career in Planning and Scheduling.

Position is Monday-Friday 1st shift in-office, core hours of 8:00am - 4:00pm

AS AN EXPEDITER, YOU WILL:

  • Has extensive daily contact with multiple functional groups (Production Planners, Master Scheduling, Global Buyers, local Buyers, Strategic Sourcing Managers, Production Supervisors and personnel, and Customer Service Center) as well as outside suppliers through verbal and written communications
  • Build relationships and act as liaison for the planning team with other departments
  • Uses knowledge of Flow production processes and products along with current product stop ship and lead time extensions to make accurate customer promises
  • Assists in the analysis and determination of materials and capacity necessary for various orders relating to order management requests
  • Exercises considerable independent judgment and discretion in checking material availability per customer needs
  • Interfaces with the company business systems, including Oracle order entry, Oracle production, other relevant tools/programs, and the e-mail system

    REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
    • High school diploma or a general equivalency degree (GED)
    • 2 years experience in manufacturing or operations environment
    • Demonstrated skills and proficiency using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States
      PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
      • Pursing or interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis in Production Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
      • Scheduling/supply chain experience in an ERP environment preferred
      • Specific knowledge of Oracle ASCP preferred

        Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The pay range for this role is $57,700-$66,400 commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
