Senior Geologist / Hydrogeologist, Boulder, CO 23-07-CO01 INTERA Incorporated is looking for a self-motivated Senior Geologist / Senior Hydrogeologist to join our team in Boulder, Colorado. Our ideal candidate is a team player and someone who can lead field operations, manage projects and be an effective part of the local business development team. Your work would mainly support our Water Resources and Water Supply Line of Business, but there may also be opportunities to support INTERA's other lines of business. -Our purpose isInnovation and stewardship for a sustainable tomorrow. Help us make a difference today. -Job Description -The responsibilities for this position include: -

• Leading business development efforts in CO in field hydrogeology
• Providing expert testimony and water rights analysis/evaluation and preparing expert disclosures for water rights cases
• Managing projects and tasks in addition to creating technical reports
• Documenting, managing, and analyzing water and environmental data to develop graphical summaries and reports using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word or equivalent software -
• Developing and updating site maps in ArcGIS -
• Conducting water well design & design and implementing field programs including lithologic interpretation, logging, geophysical analysis, and aquifer testing.
• Providing well drilling oversight
• Completing routine monitoring events such as downloading pressure gauges and measuring water levels
• Collecting environmental samples and/or using field instruments to monitor environmental conditions (groundwater, stormwater, surface water, soil vapor, landfill gas, soil/sediment, and air)
• Support and participate in environmental site characterization investigations including soil gas investigations, monitoring well drilling and installation, soil and groundwater sampling, and hydraulic testing events.
• Leading or managing crews that conduct the aforementioned services including the oversight of work performed -by subcontractors, to ensure work is completed in accordance with work plans, design drawings, specifications, and/or client expectations -
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements for fieldwork -
• Interfacing with clientsRequired Education and Skills -
  • A Master's degree in geology, hydrogeology, or a related field -
  • 10+ years of experience in geology and hydrogeology -
  • Professional registration as a geologist or hydrogeologist
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills -
  • Previous experience with Aqtesolv and Rockworks
  • Previous experience with drilling oversight
  • Previous experience with analyzing geophysical logs -
  • Efficient project and task management skills
  • The ability to work independently to complete technical work -
  • The ability to travel to project sites or meetings, including drilling and related field activities
