Job Description:The CV Invasive Specialist performs duties
necessary for cardiac catheterization procedures at a technical and
professional level requiring some proctoring and supervision of
technical detail. The Specialist performs a variety of technical
procedures that require some independent judgment. The CV Invasive
Specialist assumes responsibility and initiative for designated

Power of We.As an Invasive Cardiovascular Technician EP at
Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our
clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care
by:Provides technical support during invasive cardiovascular
procedures. Provides patient care under the supervision of the
RN.Assists physicians in radiological imaging of cardiac and
vascular procedures, acts as scrub assistant, maintaining sterile
conditions during clinical procedures. Operates imaging equipment
and works in the control room monitoring and documenting procedure
images and events.Educates patients and families regarding the
procedure and about the expectations of the procedure. Teaches
patient and family about pre and post procedure physical
conditions.Assists in maintaining order and cleanliness of the
unit. Maintains appropriate stock levels for complex interventions
and diagnostic procedures.Completes daily, progress and discharge
documentation according to departmental standards. Accurately
documents productivity information.Minimum Qualifications Invasive
Cardiovascular TechnicianHigh School Diploma or equivalent,
requiredRegistered ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive
Technologist RCIS within 18 months of hire, or Registered
Respiratory Therapist with CV Specific certification,
requiredCurrent Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
(BLS-HCP), requiredACLS and Surgical Technologist License with DORA
obtained within 3 months of hire in state of Colorado,
requiredPreferred QualificationsAssociates degree, preferredTwo (2)
years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab, preferredMinimum
Qualifications Invasive Cardiovascular Technician IIBachelors
Degree or RCIS Certification, requiredRegistered ARRT or Registered
Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist RCIS is required or Registered
Respiratory Therapist with CV specific certification or RCIS or
RCES required.Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
(BLS-HCP) and ACLS is required.Surgical Technologist License must
be obtained within 3 months from hire date in the State of
Colorado.Four (4) years of experience in Cardiology/Cath
LabPreferred QualificationsFive (5) or more years of experience in
Cardiology/Cath LabPhysical Requirements:Ongoing need for employee
to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate
monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent
interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors
that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and
understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly
and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and
-Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and
delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes
frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care,
accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and
-Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer
patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and
equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and
including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with
transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing
supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and
portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to
navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on
the floor, etc).- and -May be expected to stand in a stationary
