While electrifying steelmaking is an exciting start and the Company's current focus, its electrochemical-hydrometallurgy innovation platform also enables carbon dioxide sequestration at gigaton-scale and decarbonization of industrial sectors beyond steel, which the Company will disclose in due course.

Position Summary:ElectraSteel is seeking an experienced business leader in Supply Chain with experience in Product Development and Quality Assurance. This position will report to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and will work closely with functional groups responsible for new product development, scale-up, and pilot-plant buildout, and demonstration. The core technology utilizes electrochemical extraction of iron from ores, and prior experience in sourcing electrochemical system components is preferred.
Core Responsibilities:

• Lead and build a supply chain team for development and demonstration of scaled up process technology and build out of pilot-plant for electrochemical extraction of iron from ore.
• Engage cross-functional teams using Lean and Six-Sigma techniques to achieve best in class performance in terms of quality, delivery, and cost
• Develop a deep understanding of product components and specifications and develop supplier alternatives and relationships to supply those components efficiently while considering impact on project timelines and landed costs
• Work closely with Engineering and functional groups responsible for new product development and pilot-plant build to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and components
• Work closely with the product development team to refine design and reduce costs of scaled up process technology
• Develop and implement a scalable ERP/PDM system in collaboration with the finance team
• Foster an environment of continuous improvement and emphasis on quality
• Develop strategies and implement solutions to address short-term and long-term supply chain constraints to achieve company's performance goals
  Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or other related field
  • 8 years in purchasing, buying, or procurement in a technology-centric new product development environment
  • Demonstrated experience making data-driven decisions with incomplete information
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration
    • 10 years of supply chain experience, including experience in electrochemical systems component sourcing
    • New product launch experience
    • Previous work in a start-up environment
