Job Description:
This job exists to:Provide pro-active care team support with
designated administrative and clinical support duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Care Team and patient care workflows through:
- Opening and Closing Labs: Cleaning Quidel Machine & Hemoglobin
daily; controls for point of care tests.
- Instrument cleaning and sterilization.
- Running autoclave machine.
- Taking inventory of instruments on a regular basis.
- Stocking rooms and labs which includes checking expiration
dates and removing expired supplies.
- Emptying/replacing needle boxes.
- End of day cleaning (rooms, labs etc.)
- Prior Authorizations.
- Working as a team with other Patient Care Technicians across
the organization to ensure adequate coverage across the
organization. This may require working at another site.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a safe work environment by remaining informed of and
compliant with the clinic's safety policies, and in particular by
application of safe practices in area of own
responsibility.
- Compliance:
- Knowledgeable of and compliant with laws and regulations
governing area of responsibility.
- Responsible for reporting any potentially non-compliant
conduct.
- Cooperates fully with our Compliance Officer in upholding our
Compliance Plan.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as required.
SUPERVISION:No
SCOPE OF AUTHORITY:
- This position is expected to perform responsibilities with
general managerial direction.
- For immediate problems, the position is responsible for
independent problem solving.
Progress is reviewed quarterly, and results are measured and
formally evaluated annually.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Attention to detail, ability to perform under pressure and work
in a team management system.
- Computer knowledge including familiarity with MS Office and
Electronic Medical Records.
- Critical thinking and independent problem solving.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently.
- Sensitivity to low income, ethnic minority community is a
must.

- Other care team members and site employees
- Patients
- Outside contacts such as community, other healthcare
providers
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
- Medical supplies and equipment
- Computer/Tablet Computer
- Telephone
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
- Risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens
- Usual medical office environment
- Ability to travel from clinic to clinic as required

Compensation: Approximately $16.73 - $19.40 per hour. All
individual pay rates are calculated based on the candidate's
experience and internal equity.
