team.Position SummaryChartered is actively seeking a dynamic and
experienced Full-Time Construction Staff Accountant to join its
Boulder office. This position will be responsible for executing all
monthly accounting and other accounting-related activities,
including general bookkeeping, processing accounts payable, bank
reconciliations, construction loan draws, job cost accounting,
work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and filing and maintaining
organized accounting records, among other accounting-related
activities as needed. This role will report directly to the Vice
President, Finance with a direct line to the President of the
Company. This presents a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking
to gain immediate, hands-on experience with key financial processes
pertaining to multifamily construction, development, and property
management.Key FunctionsPerforming general monthly, quarterly, and
annual accounting and bookkeeping functions including accounts
payable, accounts receivable, billing, and journal
entriesAssembling information for monthly construction loan draws,
including client billings packages in accordance with contract
terms and conditionsPreparation of bank deposits, monthly bank and
general ledger reconciliations, and cash receipt entries and cash
managementEnsuring receipt of required vendor/subcontractor
documentation, including invoices, insurance, bonding, SDI, workers
compensation, statutory declarations, and lien waivers (as
applicable)Interpreting trade partner documentation for
accounting-related itemsProviding project teams with ad hoc reports
and analysis, as neededMaintaining organization of internal filing
systemCompleting all financial transactions in a timely and
accurate mannerCultivating relationships with accounting
equivalents in client and subcontractor officesPerforming other
accounting and construction-related duties as requiredCore

including Excel, Word, Outlook, ProjectMust be willing and

ExperienceUndergraduate degree requiredDegree in accounting or
construction considered an assetAt least 1 year of professional
accounting experience in construction or a related industry
preferredWork EnvironmentChartered runs a small, family-oriented
office, so a "Yes" attitude is vital to success in this role. This
position is full-time and located in Chartered's Boulder, CO
office. Work is required to be performed in-person in the office.
This is not a remote position. There may be periods of extended
work hours as well as stressful periods of work that require
flexibility and patience. Candidates must be able to receive
direction as well as be able to communicate and give clear,
consistent instruction and/or feedback to others. This is a big
position where there is no task too small. All employees wear
