Job Description:
Wage Notice: $60,000-$80,000 The base salary offered may vary
depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and
experience.

Position Summary:
We are currently looking for a Logistics Supervisor to perform a
variety of shipping and receiving tasks in accordance with
appropriate state, federal and international regulations. This
position will supervise workers who confirm and record the receipt
of shipments, prepare items for shipping and load and unload
trucks. Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental
transport of materials. Level commensurate with experience.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Prepare domestic and international shipments for commercial
conveyance; determine most economical and efficient shipping
method; select appropriate shipping container; pack items to ensure
safe delivery. Experience working with freight forwarders.
Experience in reviewing carrier contracts. Proficient with
Incoterms. Responsible for export/regulatory compliance. Handles
all customs disputes, as necessary
Oversee, train, and support shipping/receiving staff. Ensure
employees compliance with quality system and safety
regulations.
Manage, develop and update SOPs in area of expertise
Evaluate employee performance.
Establish corrective/preventative action or mitigation plans for
transit delays.
Receive and unload incoming materials; compare information on
packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment;
may process return shipments from customers
Act as internal liaison with sales, customer service, project
management and supply chain.
Fill out all appropriate documentation and labels for Good
Manufacturing Process (GMP) goods that have been received
Use an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to receive all
items that have been delivered.
Maintain inventory level of shipping supplies. Maintain orderly and
safe practices in the warehouse for material handling. Coordinate
and manage space utilization in the warehouse. May be required to
assist with routine maintenance of equipment
Obtain and/or apply for required documentation for international
shipments such as NAFTA. Prepares Bills of lading, and other
commercial invoice information.
Familiar with Cold Chain logistics and cycle counting
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience; experience of at least 5
years that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities
or an Associate's degree and 2 years of experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Experience using software to prepare domestic and international
shipments, required paperwork and labeling of shipping
containers
Familiar with regulated receiving protocols and documentation for
controlled materials, prefer GMP experience
Knowledge and experience using computerized ERP/Inventory
management system
International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Department of
Transportation (DOT) certified
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products or equivalent
software system
Must have good organizational, planning, prioritizing and customer
service skills
Experience moving shipment packages using a hand truck/dolly and
pallet jack
Work Environment:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Moderate physical activity; requires handling of objects up to 40
pounds, standing and/or walking for more than four hours per
day
Will work in indoor/outdoor environment
