pro-deals, and more POSITION SUMMARY: The Lift Maintenance
Assistant provides the Lift Dispatch coverage in the winter season.
S/he will correspond with lift operations, mechanics, electricians,
and patrol on a daily basis. This is an entry-level seasonal role
with possible opportunity for advancement. S/he is responsible for
conveying accurate information to the correct individuals in a
timely manner. This person must comply with applicable policies,
procedures, and regulations of Winter Park Resort, Colorado
Passenger Tramway Safety Board, American National Standards
Institute (ANSI B.77), United States Forest Service, and OSHA. Must
be familiar with and comply with department standards and the
Employee handbook. The Lift Maintenance Assistant will follow all
Winter Park policies and procedures, all applicable laws (federal,
state, and local), and all health and sanitation codes. WAGE: The
base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of
Winter Park Resorts hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay
will vary and may be above or below the range based on various
factors including but not limited to experience, education,
training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of
production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel.
The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts total
compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many
region-specific benefits. Hourly pay range: $22.00-$25.00/hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The Lift Dispatcher is critical to the daily
operation of lifts in the winter season. All lift malfunctions and
closures due to equipment malfunctions, weather, operator error,
power outages, etc. must be tracked individually and work orders
issued to the appropriate personnel. In the case of extended
downtimes which may result in "bottom line" or rope evacuations of
the lift, the dispatcher must keep a detailed chronological record
of the events. This person must remain calm and organized in
extremely hectic and stressful situations. Coordinate and dispatch
daily radio traffic. Properly communicates with maintenance and
operational personnel to ensure continuation of safe lift
operation. Informs the Lift Maintenance Manager and/or Lift
Maintenance Administrator of any development that may affect the
quality of maintenance, maintenance records, or maintenance records
system. Creates and maintains a friendly, congenial, and positive
work atmosphere while effectively serving our guests and
interacting with other employees. Communicates with other
departments to coordinate both their and the lift department's
needs. Initiates work orders for unscheduled maintenance from
downtime reports. Performs any other duties as may be assigned
(i.e. seat pad replacement, assisting with line work by operating
liftetc.). This job description is an overview of the scope of

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School diploma
or GED. Experience: Experience with ski lifts is a plus but not
required. Qualifications and Skills: Must be at least 18 years if
age. Experience using phone with multiple lines. Capable of
professional and efficient two way radio use including comfortable
making fleet calls. Possess at least a basic knowledge of aerial
lifts, surface lifts, and any other related equipment. Current
standard first aid card desirable. Must have a valid unrestricted
US Driver's License. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: This
position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Mountain Environment: The primary physical environment in which
this position works is indoors, however time will be spent out of
doors with a high exposure level to cold, snow, wind, rain, bugs,
sun, high altitude, extreme heights, lightning, etc The degree of
strenuous activity within the job is considered to be low to
moderate. Some strenuous physical activity may include walking or
hiking upon uneven, challenging terrain, operating a snowmobile,
skiing or riding. Exposure to: Ultra Violet radiation from the sun
enhanced through lack of atmospheric filtration at work altitude.
Fumes produced in activities ranging from cleaning to painting to
fabrication of metal products. Noise generated by snowmobiles, lift
equipment, and tools may require hearing protection to be worn.
Chemicals required for cleaning, de-greasing, and painting. Talking
and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with
guests, supervisors and other employees. Vision occurs continuously
with the most common visual functions being those of near vision
and depth perception. Manual dexterity to operate a computer and
other common office equipment on a regular basis. Auditory and
visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and
basic office equipment on as needed. Ability to work for extended
periods of time sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and
pulling. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be
